Technical Visit in Hong Kong – Floating PV at Polver Cove Reservoir and CLP Power Academy in Shatin

The floating PV system of 44kW at Polver Cove Reservoir is installed by WSD in October 2017 for supplying electricity to the nearby air compressor house of the reservoir. Apart from harvesting renewable energy from the sun, there are additional benefits including reducing water evaporation, suppressing algae growth, saving land resource, and yielding a higher solar panel power generation efficiency.

CLP Power Academy is launched by CLP Power in 2017.  It is a professional training institution providing high quality and recognised training programmes, covering technical knowledge, operational and industrial safety, and management skills, for people who want to pursue a career in the power industry.
