Technical Visit in Hong Kong – Photovoltaic (PV) System at the Siu Ho Wan Sewage Treatment Works and CLP Power Academy in Shatin

Comprising over 4200 no. of polycrystalline PV panels, the Hong Kong’s largest solar farm of 1100 kilowatts at the Siu Ho Wan Sewage Treatment Works was installed by The Drainages Services Department (DSD) in December 2016 for supplying electricity to the equipment and systems inside the plant. The estimated annual electricity generation of the system reaches 1.1 million kilowatt-hours, accounting for about 25 per cent of the annual electricity consumption of the plant in 2016.
